How badly anyone was hurt

  • No one hurt 4 CPSC: Incident, No Injury

As each report says it, in short words; CPSC’s own words are under each.

The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Honda snow blower model HS928

My Honda snow blower model HS928 has intermittently leaked gasoline. It already has a recall for my serial number. I will call Honda to have it fixed.

The product, in the report: Honda Snowblower

I have a Honda Snowblower that after using it for the first time this winter and shutting off the gas to it, we came out the next day to gasoline on the floor of the garage and a very strong smell of gasoline fumes. The fuel was leaking around the fuel tank joint O-ring.

After doing some research, I found that this model of Honda snowblower had been recalled although it was not in the affected frame serial number range, even though it was manufactured within the time frame of the defective ones.

According to Honda, even products that are affected by the recall, if they are out of warranty they, will have to be repaired at the owners expense. To me that is not a very safe situation, I could just sell it without disclosing the problem and have someone else with a dangerous situation.

The product, in the report: Honda snowblower HS624

I have Honda snowblower HS624 that leaks fuel from the fuel filter and I noticed that another consumer was complaining about this same thing. My HS624 leaked fuel all over my garage floor and it could have been very dangerous situation for me and my family. I also saw from that same report (20120206-98E63-2147470528) that Honda had a recall for HS724 snowblowers for the same problem. If these are the same parts used in that HS724 why isn’t the ones in the HS624 replaced? Are they waiting for some serious situation to happen.
