The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Dec 5, 2025, sent to the company Dec 12, 2025, published by CPSC Dec 31, 2025

The product, in the report: E GO Power+ 56-volt lithium-ion cordless snow blower, Model SNT2400

Purchased E GO Model SNT2400 self-propelled electric snowblower on 10/24/25. Thoroughly read all three operator’s manuals. My driveway slopes downhill toward my street. First use, about 3 inches of snow: While progressing down my driveway I released the forward motion propulsion control to stop, but machine free-wheeled into my street. I did not have the strength to hold it back to stop its forward motion. Re-read operator’s manual. Although manufacturer recommends “extreme caution” on slopes, there is no mention that there is no brake on the propulsion system. Although powered propulsion ceases when the control is released, free-wheeling will continue until the machine can be stopped by the operator’s effort. I emailed the manufacturer, identifying the lack of a brake as a serious design flaw. Manufacturer responded with a cavalier statement referring me to the “extreme caution” when going downhill warning in the operator’s manual. My final reply was, “The least you could do is mention PROMINENTLY in the Operator’s Manual that the machine has NO BRAKE!” I will try to attach some of the email chain to this submission.
