The product, in the report: 1022 (1696737-00) - Briggs & Stratton 22” Snow Thrower, 9.5 Gross TP (2017) 22” Snow Thrower, 9.5 Gross TP
I started the snowblower and engaged the auger trying to snowblow a small, soft pile of snow when I heard a loud, metal clanking sound and then a metal plate came flying out the front mouth of the snowblower. The metal plate was the middle portion of the auger assembly (part #70 of the KIT-AUGER ASSEMBLY Part# 709881). The metal plate was bent and all four screwed were completely broken off. Me and anyone else near the snowblower could have been seriously injured because of how fast the plate broke and flew out the front of the snowblower.
