The product, in the report: cordless electric lawn mower I took the lawn mower to Stark St for repair On the side [date (011001-2593 E24 3187 US listed Shenshen ABT CO, LTr Made in China
(09/03/2020) The lawn mower charger (not lawn mower) caught on fire while charging. I think the lawn mower batteries got short circuited. It’s in for repair. The light on the charger never came on.
The consumer stated that a green light come on when the charger is plugged in. The light turns red while charging, then green again when the charge is complete. The consumer plugged in the charger. When he returned to the lawn mower about 10 minutes later and picked up the charger, it sparked and flames came from it.

The product, in the report: Toro electric start 22 inch re cycler lawn mower Personal Pace
On July 11, 2017 I folded down the handle on the mower and put it into my [REDACTED]. When I went to unload the mower and started to move it out of the vehicle by hand, the mower started while still inside the vehicle. I was finally able to shut it off by moving the blade control bar. Fortunately I was not injured and there was no damage to the vehicle.
Here is what happens : When the mower handle is folded down, the start push button comes directly in contact with the wheel height adjustment lever on the left front wheel. The height adjustment lever was in the third slot( rotated clockwise). This direct contact depresses the electric start button, and with any slight movement of the blade control bar, the mower starts automatically.

No one hurt Made Nov 24, 2012, sent to the company Dec 12, 2012, published by CPSC Dec 28, 2012
The product, in the report: Toro GTS 6.5hp recycling mower, purchased spring of 2003 - can’t remember the exact month.
While mowing my lawn, the side wall of the combustion chamber blew out ~1.5” irregularly shaped hole in three peice. The peices projected about 4ft and bounced off a retaining wall directly in front of them. The mower had oil, was recently cleaned and the blade had been sharpened. I had been mowing for approximately 10 minutes just before it happened, and was bagging the clippings at that time.
The failed mower is a Toro GTS 6.5, Model #20016, Serial #220618424.
Prior to this event, I had noticed the first few times I used the mower this past spring it was choking increasingly while the recycle or mulch door closed and the mower was therefore forced to mulch all the grass clippings. With the drought I was able to go without mowing June thru August. Since the mulch or recycle mode was causing problems I started bagging clippings and used the mower 4-6 times without choking while bagging. I have a standard 1/3 acre suburban lawn if that helps this appraisal any. Using the self-propelled mode going uphill didn’t seem to impact the choking.
