The product, in the report: Whirlpoorl Washing Machine poorly designed lid.
Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum WTW8800YC0, serial C21871269, washer lid spring snapped. After snapping, lid no longer stays up. Mother hit in head, grandmother hit on nose by lid. Item is extremely dangerous. This unit has had its spring replaced once already. Spring that holds lid is located directly under bleach/affresh compartment. Item is highly defective and corrosion is apparent. The washer was poorly designed to overflow bleach onto the spring and metal. Whirlpool insists there is nothing they can do. More than likely many people have been injured by this item.
