The product, in the report: Manufacturer Tectite Model Number FSBBOXWM Washing Machine water connection box with valves. UPC 670750959936

Manufacturer Tectite Model Number FSBBOXWM Product Tectite Washer Connection Box. 1/2in push to connect 3/4 male hose thread. Issue occurred in a rental home I own and maintain. The laundry room was remodeled in the fall of 2019. The washer connection box was replaced with this product. Clearly presents a danger. When removing the washer hose the entire nipple came unthreaded from the valve body, blowing the valve ball out. This valve is not casted in one piece, it is engineered as pieced together with threaded components. The nipple is threaded into the valve body with a O ring seal. The female hose connector after being connected for a period eleven months. When removing the hose from the threaded valve nipple it become unthreaded, blowing out the valve ball. Hot water shot out all over the tenant and laundry room. Having the valve off is useless as the valve ball blew out. Uncontrolled hot water spewing out at full force. Scalding hot water soak the tenant and flooded the laundry room. Wall with a lot of water damaged too.
