The product, in the report: Washing machine, /with LCD control Panel

I have owned this Ge washer Profile Model, WPGT93050COPL for 5 years 8 months, upon trying to use it on about 05/21/2011 the washer would not start, I thought the LCD computer board went bad because I could hear a clicking sound, In the Instruction booked it stated that you could switch the tops between the washer and dryer ,so I was going to do that to see if the LCD was Bad, When I removed the top of the washer a strong burnt smell was coming from the Electric Circut board. I opened the cover to see that a small fire must have been present because of the charing on the board and the burnt plastic. The circut breaker never triggered even the serviceperson could not explain why the breaker did not trigger, and it looks like the low voltage transformer blew and caught on fire. We were not home at the time and the thought of losing everything is very disturbing. I did contact GE. They sent a repair person only to tell me that the part needed to be replaced.
