Made Mar 12, 2012, sent to the company Apr 5, 2012, published by CPSC Apr 19, 2012

The product, in the report: Front Loading Washer

Around March 05, 2012 caller’s front loading washing machine began making noise approximately 15 minutes into the wash when the spin cycle began and the washer began making a lot of noise that he compares to a loud knocking sound.

He returned to the washer, opened the door and saw smoke coming out of the top of the agitator. No flames were ever seen.

Caller immediately turned washer off, unplugged it and hasn’t used it since that date.

He contacted manufactur who advised him that unit is not on recall.

Caller would like for his washing machine to be placed with the existing recall or another and repaired at manufacturer expense.
