The product, in the report: Front Load Whirlpool Duet Washing Machine

I don’t recall when we purchased the Whirlpool Duet FL Washing machine. However, I followed all of the manufacturer’s maintenance reccomendations. I “clean” my washer twice a month and the front door is left open after every load and is left open “24/7, 365”. We’ve found black mold in a very unexpected place. In the dispenser area above it. My husband found a massive black mold build-up today. It then occurred to me that this may be why my daughter has been chronically ill for the past 4 years (will be calling her pediatrician today to make an appointment and discuss). This is utterly unacceptable as I have my grandson who lives with us who was a preemie and has asthma. It also occurred to me that the black mold could be aggravating his asthma. You need to do something about this.

Consumer found a massive black mold build-up in the dispenser area of the washing machine. Consumer feels that may be mold was the cause for their daughter being chronically ill for the past 4 years & also could be the reason for aggravating their grandson’s asthma.
