The product, in the report: TL Wash, Samsung, 5.6CF, EZReach, White
We purchased a Samsung top loader washer two years ago and within the last 3-4 months have been noticing black flakes on our laundry; the total cost of the washer at the time of purchase was $1,279.98, plus the extended warranty of $249.99. We have run the self clean cycle as recommended by the manufacturer, we have tried running baking soda and vinegar and the more we do this the worse the problem is getting. We have come to find out that the black flakes are an accumulation of mold. We have called Samsung and reported the problem and they just tell us that we should run the clean cycle which we have done several times only to have the problem continue and continuing to get worse! Now they have told us to contact their repair person who informed us that this will cost, to start at least $200, just to remove the part that they had to install because of the washer lid exploding incident, so we get punished because of their fautlty engineering! The repair person also told us that we have to pay him up front with either cash or a credit card before he will even touch the machine. When we contacted the extended warranty company about this issue they told us that the extended warranty only covers electrical and mechanical problems, so why were we fools and purchased it, what a rip! And of course, our warranty with Samsung has expired since we purchased it two years ago. We are so frustrated with this issue and we have decided to never purchase another Samsung washer again and are now in the process of looking for a new washer, it is either that or we have to end up taking our clothes to a laundromat to avoid having mold all over our clothers, towels and bedding. This is a health hazard, but Samsung refuses to do anything about the problem. If you check the Samsung web page and the communtiy blog pages complaints about this issue will appear and yet Samsung does nothing to alleviate the problem! My whole family has been having issues from itchy skin to stuffiness. We paid over $1,000 for this washer and it is like brand new and this is the service we get from this company, it is ridiculous! Please advise us as to what we can do to get either the problem resolved or at least a full price refund! We will never purchase another Samsung product again!! We will also spread the word that they sell junk and don’t back up their products. They can take this washer and send it back to Korea where it came from, typical Asian junk!!
