The product, in the report: Top load washing machine
The lid on my washing machine for like the 100th time would not unlock after it said washer was finished. I pushed the power button 3 times before it finally went off and the lid unlocked. I reached into the washer to pull clothes out and realized the clothes were still very heavy and full of water, the washer then went into cycle with my hands still inside!! I jumped scraped my arm on the lid, my leg on the shelf behind me from being startled. This washer has been nothing but trouble since I purchased it and ways bad it was a replacement for the previous washer I had that also was defective!!! Very unhappy with both lowes and whirlpool and now I am going to be permanently scared from this machine’s poor design. I am gathering I’m not the first person to have problems with this machine. It needs to be recalled!!!!

No one hurt Made Apr 5, 2012, sent to the company Apr 12, 2012, published by CPSC Apr 26, 2012
The product, in the report: Whirlpool Cabrio Washing Machine
Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine, model # WTW5640XW. There were three previous service calls for this machine, and four major parts replaced. Monday we had another service call because the machine indicated “Done” and the green light was on, so my husband opened the door and removed the clothes. Water then poured from the machine into the washtub and the agitator began to move WHILE THE DOOR WAS OPEN. This an extreme safety hazard; one of us could have had our arm in the machine taking out the clothes and been badly injured. He quickly closed the door and then the machine showed 8 minutes left on the cycle. This recent safety failure added to the previous mechanical failures of the machine are of great concern. This machine is a lemon and I would like my money back.
