The product, in the report: Top-loading clothes washer Model No: MVWB850YW0 Serial No: C13470812
Maytag Bravo XL Washer. Mold buildup in area inaccessible for consumer. The only way to get rid of the mold is to take apart the washer and remove the drum (voiding warranty). Anyone who has purchased this unit has the same problem. There is an entire page on Facebook with these complaints. Maytag claims it’s a result of undissolved detergent, but there are plenty of videos showing the real problem. Mold and mildew can be toxic and running [REDACTED] or vinegar does not resolve the problem. Drum must be removed, the water sitting at the bottom of the outer drum siphoned out and the all parts washed in bleach.
