The product, in the report: Adventure Force Tactical Strike Nexus Pro X Ultimate Dart Blaster. Model VIPRB-6203
A minor family member discharged an Adventure Force Nexus Pro X Model VIPRB-6203 accidentally striking my minor son in the side of the eye. Contact caused an immediate hyphema and loss of vision clarity. A cataract formed as a result of the trauma, necessitating surgery. Cataract removal has resulted in astigmatism. Doctor has determined that some vision quality loss is likely permanent and has advised use of corrective lenses going forward.
Product is packaged as, marketed as, and sold amongst children’s toys. Product does not distinguish itself as more dangerous than similar dart guns outside of the packaging. Product was not purchased by myself and the risk level was unknown until the damage was done.
