  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made Dec 10, 2025, sent to the company Dec 15, 2025, published by CPSC Jan 2, 2026

The product, in the report: A childrens LED flying boomerang ball toy. The outer shell is a spherical plastic cage (approx. 3-4 inches in diameter) with multi-color LED lights and a small internal rotor/fan. It is handheld and advertised for hovering and boomerang-style flight. The packaging label shows Boomerang Ball, age 6+, and promotes LED lights for night flight. Color of unit purchased: Blue.

My father purchased an LED Boomerang Ball toy (TESIMAI / Amerfist, Model TSM006-B) from Amazon for my nephew as a Christmas gift. It is marketed for children ages 6+. When we first turned it on for testing before giving the gift on Christmas Day, the toy emitted extremely intense, rapidly flashing multi-color LED lights. There is no photosensitivity warning or any caution about flashing/strobe lighting anywhere on the packaging or instructions.

During only brief exposure, both I and my father experienced immediate symptoms including dizziness, visual overstimulation, disorientation, and head pressure. The lighting effect appeared much stronger and more rapidly modulated than typical LED toys. I am unsure whether the flashes are caused by pulsing LEDs, the rotational motion of internal components, or a combination of both, but the resulting light pattern produced a strong strobing effect that caused noticeable physical symptoms.

The packaging encourages use for night flight, which would further increase brightness and visual intensity. Because this product is sold for children and contains no warnings about potential neurological or visual effects, I am concerned that it may pose a significant riskespecially to children or individuals with undiagnosed photosensitivity.

I am reporting this because the toy caused symptoms in two adults during normal use, and I am concerned that children may be at even greater risk for dizziness, migraines, or seizures due to the strobing effect.

I request the CPSC investigate this product for potential safety hazards and labeling issues. The product, packaging, and proof of purchase are still in my possession and can be provided for inspection if needed.
