Emergency room Made Aug 19, 2026, sent to the company Aug 24, 2026, published by CPSC Sep 16, 2026
The product, in the report: NeeDoh Ice Cube
I purchased a NeeDoh Ice Cube. I was squeezing and squishing the toy. Suddenly and without warning of any kind, it popped and exploded and the stuff inside came out of the toy causing me 3rd-degree burns. I had to get emergency treatment and care for my burns and it was some o! the worst pain I’ve experienced in my life. This should never have happened and there is clearly something wrong with the product for exploding on me. I didn’t do anything wrong and it exploded all over me.

Tonight my 8 year old son was squeezing a Teenie Needo in his hand when it exploded and get all over his face and in his eyes. He was squeezing it using routine hand pressure, when it exploded unexpectedly. The outer layer of the toy failed without warning, spraying the internal filling directly across my son’s face and into his eyes. This caused immediate serve pain, burning and distress.

Seen by a doctor or nurse Made Oct 26, 2023, sent to the company Oct 31, 2023, published by CPSC Nov 22, 2023
The product, in the report: Schylling Tin Top purchased at Menards but appears be available at [REDACTED] and other large stores. This item is approx 0.25 pounds and 5.5 x 5 x 5 inches. I do not have the original box, just toy.
My son is 14 months old and has an elevated lead level of 4.2. I ordered a lead screening kit to try on multiple surfaces of his toys and discovered that a part on his spin toy was reading “off the charts” in regards to lead contents. My son plays with this toy and has been known to place the inner metal piece and top of the handle in his mouth. The toy was purchased at Menards and is manufactured by Schylling. The inner, spiral metal piece, that has to be raised, is the location of the lead.
