Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

Emergency room Made Apr 22, 2016, sent to the company May 2, 2016, published by CPSC May 23, 2016
The product, in the report: Bird-Call maker, model “Nightingale” <http://www.canoeonline.net/shop/inspect/wooden-bird-calls/285> Product does contain a statement saying: “We have put our whole hearts into the conception of our nature toys and hope that those who handle them will use them to good intent. Nonetheless our bird-calls are not suitable for children under three.”
Toy with lead handle caused lead poisoning in my child.
A bird call maker was purchased and given to my kids to play with. My 14 month old was playing with it and mouthed the end of the toy which was made out of uncoated lead. He was diagnosed with lead poising. The toy has been tested and is confirmed to have a handle that is made out of lead without any coating or protection on it.
We have contacted the store which the toy was purchased and they have responded by removed the items from their shelves but it is still available online. I hope that you can somehow contact this and other stores that sell this item and get them removed.
Thank you.
