Emergency room Made Jul 3, 2026, sent to the company Jul 7, 2026, published by CPSC Jul 28, 2026
The product, in the report: Needoh squishy toy
My daughter went out to her car to get something & picked up her needoh when it exploded on her. She called me screaming saying she was burned. I had to have someone drive her to the ER until I could get there. She suffered 1st & 2nd degree burns to her thigh. She had huge blisters pop up immediately. The nurse had to soak her leg with saline to remove the sticky substance off her thigh because she said it was continuing to burn. We are now having to do wound care daily, & take antibiotics to prevent infection.

Seen by a doctor or nurse Made May 12, 2026, sent to the company May 15, 2026, published by CPSC Jun 1, 2026
The product, in the report: The product involved was a blue NeeDoh stress toy/stress ball. It was a small handheld squeeze toy designed for stress relief and sensory play. The product was soft, flexible, and gel-filled. I do not know the exact dimensions, but it was approximately palm-sized and intended to be squeezed by hand.
I am submitting this report because a NeeDoh stress toy unexpectedly burst after being left inside my parked vehicle during my work shift. When I returned to my car and picked up the product to move it, it ruptured and the contents spilled onto my hands and legs.
The product involved was a NeeDoh stress ball/stress toy. The product was being used normally as a personal stress toy and was not being misused at the time of the incident. It had been left inside the vehicle and burst immediately upon being handled.
I sustained second-degree burns, including an approximately 12 cm burn area, and required medical treatment. The burns affected my hands and legs. The injuries occurred when the hot contents from the burst product came into contact with my skin.
I am reporting this incident because the product caused a significant injury during what appeared to be ordinary handling after exposure to heat inside a vehicle.

The product, in the report: Get ready to chill out with the coolest toy around, the NeeDoh Nice Cube! This best-selling sensory squish is perfect for stretching, smushing, squeezing, and soothing your way to groovy good vibes. With its super solid squish, the Nice Cube always returns to its square shape, providing endless fun and satisfaction. Its hip to be square!
2nd grade student with ASD was using a neehdoh nice cube when it ruptured. She was upset about it breaking and I helped her clean up and took it from her hands. It was super hard to remove the sticky substance. Water and soap was not working on her hands or mine. Had to use [REDACTED] wipes to remove it. By the next day my hands had two red marks that I assumed were just dry skin but it continued to get worse and burning. I still assumed it was dry skin and dry air but it progressed into a rash on my arms, back, and hands in the next few days. I went to urgent care/ER and was prescribed prednisone for ten days. I am hoping it will resolve with this course of treatment.

First aid Made Aug 5, 2025, sent to the company Aug 8, 2025, published by CPSC Aug 22, 2025
The product, in the report: Groovy Fruit Nee Doh
My 10 son was twisting and squeezing a Needoh squish toy, specifically one from the Groovy fruit Needoh pack, and it bursted open after twisting too much. We were in the car when it happened and didnt have access to a sink but had napkins. He wiped as much off as he could before we made a pit stop at a restaurant roughly 5 minutes later so he could go into the bathroom and wash his hands. He complained of it burning. It wasnt obvious immediately, but over the next couple days, chemical burns would reveal themselves all over his hands. He is in pain and can barely use his hands to do much.
