The product, in the report: NABYTOK NAME BUSY BOARD
My child (a toddler WITH FINE MOTOR SKILL ISSUES ) unscrewed one of the flowers from her name busy board and put the whole piece in her mouth. This consisted of the flower, middle piece and screw, she choked on the flower and her father had to perform life saving measures to get it unlodged from her throat. However the small wooden middle piece and the screw went down her throat. She was rushed to the emergency department. The screw was visualized on Xray and she had to be put under sedation for a medical team to try to retrieve the screw. The medical team was unsuccessful, and now our child is admitted to the pediatric ward for several days for observation to be sure that the screw that is somewhere in her lower digestive track passes safely since they couldnt visually see it to retrieve it when they went in endoscopically.
