The product, in the report: Winkel Colorburst Activity Toy by Manhattan Toy Company
Winkel toy was being used by an infant as a grabbing toy and gum chewing toy (no teeth yet). Product has been used by two older siblings prior each for about a 6 month time span, and stored for about a year in between each of the children in a room temperature storage tub. Upon the third child using it, after only a couple of times being played with I noticed one of the tubes had split in half when child was playing with it.
