The product, in the report: Auto Garage Door opener/closer. Sears Craftsman manufactured by Liftmaster Sears model 102.1499a Liftmaster model 139.53925DS

When closing garage door it came into contact with the edge of a box outside the door, before I could get back to stop the closing action the unit continued to attempt to close and never REVERSED!! The force was so strong it practically ripped the attachment point and destroyed the garage door. I contacted the manufacturer, Liftmaster via chat and phone but just got the run around.
