The product, in the report: Clopay double garage doors
On 7/25 there was a power failure at approx. 7:45 AM. I was about to leave for work and had to get my car out pf the garage. I manually opened the garage door and pulled my car out. I then pushed the door down. I stupidly pushed down at at the gap between two panels and got my fingers stuck in between the two panels as the door came down. I really thought my fingers were going to be cut off. The pain was excruciating. I somehow thought to push the door back up and was able to remove my hands. I have since mentioned this to a few people and two other people had a similar experience. There is a small warning sticker INSIDE the door at the bottom cautioning against doing this but I never noticed it. I think automatic garage doors should be required to have some kind of handle on the outside for when there is no power. We have had more power failures recently and I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.
