The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Elmer’s Magical Liquid Slime Activator (Elmer’s Magical Liquid 2.0), 1 qt opaque bottle with orange label, item code 2095928

On July 9, 2023 I purchased Elmer’s Magical Liquid Slime Activator (Elmer’s Magical Liquid 2.0) for my daughter to make slime with. Shortly after receipt of the product, my daughter started using it and, subsequently, her fingers broke out all over in small blisters which led to peeling and bleeding. I checked the safety data sheet for this product (SDS product code 2095928, date of issue of the SDS is 12/9/2020 (version 5)) and found out that this material is considered hazardous by the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) for skin sensitization (category 1) and toxic to reproduction (category 1). The product is marketed as safe and non toxic however the safety information states otherwise.

The product, in the report: Elmer’s magic liquid

Grandkids were getting sick when using Elmer’s magic liquid to make slime. I contacted the company and they never gave me a straight answer. The bottle says it’s not toxic but the SDS says otherwise.
