Hurt, no treatment Made Dec 12, 2014, sent to the company Dec 22, 2014, published by CPSC Jan 8, 2015
The product, in the report: Nixies Mermaid toy is made of hard plastic and is waterproof. It has bendable arms and a bendable waist. The propeller, which makes the mermaid swim, is turned off and in by a push button.
I purchased a Nixies Mermaid doll for my daughter, the selling point “it really swims under water”. My daughter took it into the bathtub and the propeller that makes the mermaid swim, became tangled in my daughter’s hair and I was unable to turn the mermaid off. This resulted in a huge portion of my daughter’s hair having to b cut off.
