The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made Jun 8, 2014, sent to the company Jun 18, 2014, published by CPSC Jul 2, 2014

The product, in the report: Fishy Li Shark

We had the shark running in our bath tub while our two daughters were in the tub (ages: 3.5 years old, 10 months old) The shark jumps out of the water. The tail part got stuck in our daughter’s hair. I was so cared that it would keep sucking her hair in. We had to hold the shark, switch it off, and cut her hair to get the shark off.

The product, in the report: Battery operated “Fish” that you can use in the pool, bathtub or a Fishbowl.

Bought two Fishys. Instructions state that these toys can be used in the bathtub.

    1. One of the Fishys leaked battery fluid ([REDACTED] brand, AA batteries) into the bathwater. I had no idea until the next day when I disassembled it that it was coming from a battery and my children bathed in it.

    2. The other Fishys caught my daughters hair and tangled her hair so much in the “fan” that is used in toy, that I had to cut her hair off from the toy. It was extremely painful to my 6 year old.

I contacted the company, who did respond promptly and asked for the toys back so that they could research the problems.
