  1. No one hurt

Made Jul 6, 2026, sent to the company Jul 9, 2026, published by CPSC Jul 23, 2026

The product, in the report: Bring On the Sun Octopus Water Toy. This was a white toy but they are made in different colors. It is a rubber toy with a battery inside that help light it up.

My 1 year old son had a toy wrapped around his neck cutting off breathing. The product was a “Bring On the Sun” Octopus Water Toy that was purchased at Walgreens. My 3 year old son was slinging it around playing with the stretchy rubber tentacles. The one year old walked up while the 3 year old was playing and the top of toy (weighted) wrapped around his neck and became wrapped in a way that you could not just pull it off. I had to pull the 1 year old down and with much effort get my fingers between the rubber tentacle and his neck. I was eventually able to get there and snapped the rubber tentacle before a possible fatal injury occurred. He only had red marks on his neck but no injuries.
