  1. No one hurt

Made May 6, 2026, sent to the company May 7, 2026, published by CPSC May 21, 2026

The product, in the report: The product is a set of three animal-themed suction cup spinner toys including a butterfly, a bee, and a snail. Each toy consists of a plastic spinning body with a silicone suction cup attached to the back. It is marketed as a sensory and bath toy for infants and toddlers ages 12 to 18 months. The toy is designed to stick to smooth surfaces so a child can spin the outer petals or wings. Specific Part Description The hazard involves the circular silicone suction cup on the rear of the device. This part is intended to be permanently fixed to the plastic spinner but can be pulled off. Once detached, the suction cup is a small, flexible, circular object that is a major choking hazard for a one year old.

Product Name ALASOU 3PCS Suction Cup Spinner Toys Hazard Description While playing with this toy, my one year old child pulled the suction cup component off the main plastic body. This part is small enough to be a major choking hazard. My son put the entire suction part in his mouth and began choking. I was right there and had to intervene immediately to clear his airway. Technical Issue The suction cup is not securely attached and can be removed by a toddler. The product is marketed for children 12 to 18 months old but contains a detachable part that can block a childs airway. This is a dangerous design flaw for this age group.
