The product, in the report: It was a pink dream drop Needoh squeeze toy
My 9 year old daughter was at a friends house and the older sister put my daughters dream drop Needoh into the microwave for 30 seconds due to the viral [REDACTED] trend. She took it out and gave it to my daughter, who was unaware of the trend, and it exploded on her. She has been hospitalized at a burn center with second degree burns. She had surgery and we are waiting to see if she will need a second surgery.

First aid Made Mar 29, 2026, sent to the company Apr 1, 2026, published by CPSC Apr 15, 2026
The product, in the report: NeeDoh Nice Ice Baby Squeeze Toy, blue
My 9-year-old child was playing with a NeeDoh squishy toy when it suddenly ruptured. The contents inside the toy came out and made contact with her skin on the neck. Shortly after contact, she experienced a burning sensation, and the area became red and developed blisters.
We immediately washed the area, but the burn continued to worsen. The injury appears consistent with a chemical burn and may result in scarring.

First aid Made Feb 22, 2026, sent to the company Feb 25, 2026, published by CPSC Mar 18, 2026
The product, in the report: Gel-filled squishy fidget toy (NeeDoh-style sensory toy) used by a child during normal play. The toy is soft and squeezable and contains a gel/liquid substance inside. The product ruptured during use and released the gel onto the childs skin, causing a burning reaction and skin discoloration (white/pale areas) on contact. The product appears to be a childrens/sensory fidget toy. I am attaching photos of the product
My 12-year-old child was using a NeeDoh-style squishy toy (gel-filled fidget toy) during normal play when the toy ruptured/burst open. The gel/liquid inside the toy got on her stomach and legs. She immediately reported a burning sensation, and the exposed skin became discolored/turned white in the areas where the substance contacted her skin. We rinsed/washed the area right away and contacted Poison Control. Poison Control advised the product contents included polyvinyl alcohol. This incident caused a skin injury/chemical-burn-type reaction. I am reporting this as a product safety concern involving a childrens toy.

First aid Made Jun 23, 2025, sent to the company Jun 26, 2025, published by CPSC Jul 11, 2025
The product, in the report: Blue colored needoh brand tear drop toy
I had a Needoh drop in my car that belongs to my child. I picked up the toy to move it off the seat so my daughter didn’t sit on it. As i picked up the toy the boiling hot gel inside came pouring out all over my bare hand. It was sticky like glue and i couldn’t get the burning to stop due to the stickiness. I now have second degree burns on my right hand and fingers from the hot gel. There was no foul play, the item was not being used in a way that was not intended. There is now glue like gel all over my car due to me trying desperately to get out off my hand to stop the burning.

Emergency room Made May 31, 2022, sent to the company Jun 2, 2022, published by CPSC Jun 17, 2022
The product, in the report: Need Cool Cats Pet Me pink cat squishy toy by Schylling.
My daughter (age 8) was using the Needoh Cool Cats pink squishy toy made by Schylling. She was squeezing it like it was a stress ball in the way it was marketed. The toy burst, causing nearly all of the foam-like filler to shoot out of the toy, most of which went directly into my daughter’s eye. Once we were able to clear away the foam she reported her vision was very dark in her left eye (where the foam went). She was unable to identify shapes, objects, number of fingers held up, etc. She was examined at the emergency room and there was no issue they could see. The problem persisted about 12 hours after the incident and then the vision did clear up the following day.
