Hospital admission Made May 22, 2020, sent to the company Jun 17, 2020, published by CPSC Jul 8, 2020
The product, in the report: Magnet balls “Neoballs”
A 9 yr old girl ingested 3 of the Neoball magnets around 5/12/2020. She presented to our hospital on 5/19/2020 with abdominal pain, and we found the magnets to have caused a fistula between the stomach and jejunum as the strong force caused them to oppose in 2 separate regions of her intestine. She required emergency surgery for this life threatening situation and has now recovered.
