  1. No incident, no one hurt

Made Dec 25, 2025, sent to the company Jan 27, 2026, published by CPSC Feb 12, 2026

The product, in the report: Product: Jelly Blox toddler toy (gel/jelly building blocks), ages 2+, Goliath Toys

The product, intended for ages 2+, emits a very strong chemical odor similar to paint thinner or solvent immediately upon opening. The smell is intense and noticeable from several feet away and does not resemble a normal new plastic smell. Due to the strength of the odor, I am concerned about volatile organic compound (VOC) off-gassing and potential inhalation exposure for toddlers. This toy is intended for toddlers, who may place items in their mouth and have developing lungs and nervous systems. A solvent-like odor indicates chemicals that may be unsafe to inhale, especially in an indoor environment. The smell was strong enough that I removed the product from our living space immediately and discontinued use.
