The product, in the report: Rheem performance platinum water heater
Rheem water heater’s electrical panel caught on fire and caused property damage and toxic fumes and smoke. Upon calling to report this life-threatening incident, I was met with a totally un-empathetic call person who did not apologize for the company’s defective product until I said “I’m glad I didn’t die today.” This product has already had a recall (so this is a known defect) but we didn’t know about it.
