The product, in the report: FUNTOK Licensed RAM 2500 24V 2 Seats Ride on Truck for Kids 3-8 w/ 20” Large Seat, 2 x 100W Motors, Ride on Electric Toys w 3-Point Seat Belts/Remote Control/LED Light/Music/Back Storage

I am a fire investigator with Oceanside Fire Department in Oceanside, CA. I was dispatched to a residential fire 12/25/2025, on Camp Pendleton, CA. I am unable to eliminate that the cause of this fire was a “FUNTOK Licensed RAM 2500 24V 2 Seats Ride on Truck for Kids 3-8 w/ 20” Large Seat, 2 x 100W Motors, Ride on Electric Toys w 3-Point Seat Belts/Remote Control/LED Light/Music/Back Storage”. After researching this product I found multiple reviews on the FUNTOK website and Walmart.com reporting that the toy caught fire or was smoking.

During this incident it was reported that the toy car battery smoked earlier in the day and was on a charger when it caught fire at approximately midnight 12/25. Other reports state that the battery caught fire during use or while charging.

There are no known injuries at this time, although the fire displaced a family as their home is no longer liveable.
