This Scooter has a base and an upright pole from which to steer.
My 8 year old son was riding on this scooter (he received it on Christmas of 2010) as normal. As we were heading back home on the sidewalk, the pole attached to the base SHEARED IN HALF above the mechanism to attach the pole to the base. The mechanisms remained intact. Fortunately, the child sustained only abrasions to the knee.
I have pictures of the scooter, the sheared metal and the damage to his knee. Please contact if necessary.
