The product, in the report: Children’s unpowered, folding, scooter (aluminum, plastic)
The consumer noticed that the scooter for his son has very slick wheels. The wheels do not have any coating on them. The wheels are very shiny and the consumer said that they were plastic-molded.
Their son has used the scooter on a linoleum surface in the house and outside on concrete and black top surfaces. The shininess of the wheels did not deteriorate through use and the consumer believes that a child could easily slip when using the scooter.
The bracket that holds the handle upright, has a pin to secure it in the upright position, but it is missing the nut or bolts in the collapsing mechanism. One is supposed to open up the tension, but since the nut or bolts are missing from this area, the folding mechanism of the scooter has no tension on it.
The handle bar grips are made of a high density plastic and they are not rubber soft. One of the handle bars have broken and left a rigid end on the exposed portion of the handle bar.
