Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

The product, in the report: Brand: Tender Leaf, product name: Garden Blocks, labeled for age: 18+ months. Wooden stacking blocks with small bird, snail, and ladybug pieces.

My 19 month old child and I were playing with the Garden Blocks set. She put a wooden red ladybug (that is part of this block set), into her mouth. I did not see her put it in her mouth. I realized it was in her mouth when I saw her try to remove the red ladybug from her mouth. She then got it stuck in the back of her throat and began to choke. She made an odd sound attempting to breathe and her face began to turn red and then purple. I grabbed her and leaned her over my knee, so that she was facing down and gave her several firm back blows centered between her ribs until the ladybug toy was dislodged. She was able to breathe again and cried for a short time.

The product, in the report: Tender Leaf Toys Foxy Magnetic Stacker

My toddler was playing with the Tender Leaf Toys Foxy Magnetic Stacker and placed the tree trunk almost entirely in her mouth. I was afraid she would choke on it so I took it away. It looks like it would fail the toilet paper tube test despite saying it’s a toy for 18 months and up.
