The item is a desktop toy, Wacky Inflatable Tube Guy, sold by Running Press as a small book with battery operated toy. Upon inserting the new alkaline battery, the toy did not work, and upon examination we realized the battery had gotten extremely hot in about 20 seconds. If we had just set the non-working toy aside, it could have caused a fire.
