The product, in the report: The product is a Little Dove Childrens Play Tent with Padded Mat, Star Lights and Flags, designed as an indoor/outdoor playhouse for children. - Brand:Little Dove - Product: Large Princess Kids Play Tent/Childrens Yurt Playhouse - Color: Pink - Dimensions: Approximately 47 inches x 45 inches - Frame: Fiberglass poles - Included features:Padded play mat, star lights, and decorative flags - Intended purpose: Childrens indoor/outdoor play tent and playhouse - Model:YD-XFZ-BE002 - UPC: 850079304208 The tent has a fabric enclosure supported by flexible fiberglass poles that form the frame. The fiberglass poles are enclosed/covered during normal use, but one of the poles broke during use and exposed and dispersed fiberglass material throughout the tent.
The product is a Little Dove childrens play tent with a fiberglass pole frame. The tent was being used as an indoor play tent by my young child. During normal use, one of the fiberglass poles broke. When the pole broke, the fiberglass material became exposed and broke apart, spreading small fiberglass pieces/fibers throughout the tent and play area. This created a potential safety hazard because my child could come into contact with the exposed fiberglass, including touching it with her hands and potentially getting fibers in her eyes, mouth, or on her skin. Fiberglass can cause skin and eye irritation, and I am concerned about the possibility of inhaling or ingesting fibers. No injury was immediately observed, but the broken pole and the fiberglass fibers created a potential injury hazard for my child. The product was being used normally and was not intentionally damaged or misused when the pole broke. I am reporting this because I believe a childrens play tent with fiberglass poles that can break and release fiberglass fibers presents a safety concern, particularly for young children who may crawl, play, or touch the inside of the tent.
