The product, in the report: King size dual control heated mattress pad

Hi We purchased a king sized dual control heated mattress pad from Macys Jan 2012. The beginning of May 2013 I removed the heated mattress pad from the bed, unplugged and removed 1 of the dual controls. The second unit was plugged in but not turned on. On June 3 2013 the dual control caught fire at 4 AM. If we were not home it would have caused a house fire. The unit was on the floor. The fumes and smoke woke us up. The entire upstairs was saturated with the fumes for a week. Please alert other consumers. Thanks!
