No one hurt Made Feb 13, 2025, sent to the company Feb 19, 2025, published by CPSC Mar 5, 2025
The product, in the report: Grey and white medallion print heating blanket throw
Homemade electric blanket controller on cord literally melted. There were no other heat sources nearby. The buttons melted together. The case completely deformed and has gaps. There was an internal short that could have caused a fire. It was on setting 5 for 8 hours and had been running for three hours when noticed. Its a throw size purchased from Amazon 15 months ago. On the back of the controller it says YZH-5060T No injuries occurred because I noticed it. Fortunately, I was using it while taking a nap with a cold and not overnight.
