The product, in the report: Cuddl Duds electric throw Model# SCTH3.2.4 E481971 (Made in china) was used last winter (2019) with no issues. Was being used this year a couple times as well. My wife used the unit on Feb 20 2021 and put it on high. After about an hour, my wife went to shut unit off, and had to quickly release the control out of her hand because it was too hot to the touch. I unplugged from the wall an inspected unit. Control was terribly deformed, and I believe on the verge of melting. Coincidentally the on/off button appears to now be stuck and/or melted. It does not depress any longer like it used to. I have emailed Cuddl Duds directly, and did put a post on their [REDACTED] social media site with no replies to either.

CuddleDuds electric heated throw controller got severely hot and the controller became mis-shaped.
