Last couple of nights I thought I seen sparks or something shiny in between the blankets while I was adjusting getting back into bed. Last night I seen it again and tried to duplicate it and it kept on happening so I unplugged the blanket. I’m afraid to use it now. I feel it’s unsafe!!!

The product, in the report: E & E Co ltd. Electric throw.

I was using an electric throw in the evening and the control panel shorted out. It was sparking and the noise was clearly audible to everyone in the room. Immediately pulled plug from the wall. After it shorted out, it was still possible to turn on the control panel although it no longer heated the throw.

The product, in the report: Beauty Rest Electric Blanket

I woke up on April 3, 2014 with a “blister” the size of a 50 cent piece on my right hip, a blister the size of a nickle on my right breast and another blister the size of a dime on my right abdomen. I couldn’t imagine how in the world I could have gotten “blisters” like this.

A day later, while making my bed, I noticed that my electric blanket was blackened in a couple places, where the fabric had actually BURNED, and the exposed wires actually MELTED together!! Now I realized that my “blisters” were BURNS from the *almost* electric blanket fire.
