First aid Made Jul 5, 2014, sent to the company Jul 17, 2014, published by CPSC Jul 31, 2014
The product, in the report: Consumer fireworks, ‘TNT’ brand, Model ‘Combustion Chamber’ Product Code: AN20090050
I was lighting a ‘TNT Combustion Chamber’ firework. It started spraying sparks into the sky (as usual). It then exploded. I felt the shock wave, I ducked but I already has 2 pieces of the box sticking (and bleeding) into my arms(other pieces hit me but did not stick). Other family members (children) watching were also hit by pieces but no other injuries. (I was closest at about 8 - 10 feet. Others were about 15 - 20 feet. I was under the impression that legal fireworks were only supposed to spray sparks NOT EXPLODE. This is very dangerous and should be looked into for safety/manufacturing violations.

The product, in the report: Redneck Blaster APE 228 UN 0336 “Shoots Flaming Balls.”
I am an attorney reporting an incident causing blindness to my 15 year old client. On July 4, 2012 she and others were gathered to watch a fireworks display at the home of a family friend in Puyallup WA . Spectators were on the lawn. The fireworks were being set off out in the street.
The fireworks were sold by American Promotional Events Inc. dba TNT Fireworks, 4511 Helton Drive Florence, AL 35634, through their vendor, Graham Evangelical Covenant Church of Graham Washington.
I am advised that the particular firework involved was labeled a “Redneck Blaster”, a nine shot multi tube product, and that it had discharged three shots before flipping on its side and discharging the remaining shots horizontally towards the spectators. My client was located toward the back of the spectators and was struck in the right eye and blinded.
