The product, in the report: Atomic Fireworks Green Energy firework. It is a medium sized (200 g) firework with green packaging and Green Energy written in rainbow lettering. Here is the product page http://www.atomicfireworks.com/143-multi-shot-aerials/medium-200-gram/771-green-energy
We used Atomic Fireworks Green Energy firework. It is supposed to shoot several green lights straight up. When lit, the casing collapsed and the firework exploded. Fireballs shot out in all directions, parallel to the ground. Even though we were more than 20 feet away on a deck, several fireballs nearly hit people viewing. A large crater was left in the board we were using as a flat launch surface. It is only luck that no one was severely injured. The product was used in perfect accordance with packaging instructions and safety guidelines—the problem was entirely caused by faulty casing. The product was being used by an adult experienced in using this type of backyard firework.
