A flexible Natural Gas supply line purchased 2 years ago made by Ningbo Wanan (I think sold under the [REDACTED] brand) brass flare fitting split. Hurt, care not known Made Oct 1, 2011, sent to the company Oct 11, 2011, published by CPSC Oct 25, 2011
The product, in the report: Propane gas regulator model RA329 by Ningbo Wanan, China to connect a Brinkman BBQ grill to a standard 20lb propane cylinder
Defective propane gas regulator model RA329 manufactured by Ningbo Wanan, China. Product was included in the purchase of a Brinkman brand outdoor gas barbeque grill. Regulator functioned well several times before failing. On or about the tenth use, the regulator failed upon ignition of grill. Uncontrolled flames shot out from grill in all directions, including from below the controls, where the propane mixes with air (not at the regulator, the regulator was sealed and properly installed). No injury other than singed hair as user tried to access the main valve at the 20-lb propane cylinder to shut-off gas flow. Replacement of regulator with a different brand/model expected to resolve the issue.
