The product, in the report: 20 pound propane tank- like you buy at a gas station
I use 20 lb propane tanks to heat a small hut on my land. I have been using this method for 6 years without a problem. I recently changed tanks and after a few minutes starting smelling a very faint smell of propane. On inspection, the rubber gasket inside the tank feeder valve was all chewed up. I did not over tighten the tank- in other words, I did not cause the problem. The gasket was defective- which is easily seen by looking in the tank feeder valve. While there were no injuries, this could have been a very big problem.
