The product, in the report: Mares Nemo Dive Computer
I purchased a Mares Nemo Dive Computer in Feb 2013. I went to the dive shop and got the computer and my gear set up. While I was there I noticed the dive computer and my analog gauge were off. [REDACTED] at the dive shop said it probably needs water.
I went to Maui, Hawaii and dove 4 times. The computer and analog gauge were still off by 500 psi. When I took my scuba courses they said to trust your dive computer. However I didn’t know what to trust. I couldn’t trust the computer because if I did I would be out of air. When I dove in NJ a month later it was still off. The dive computer was showing 3000 psi and the analog gauge was showing 2500 psi. If I went by my dive computer, I could have run out of air.
I decided to file this report when I received the email today showing another dive computer with the same problem.
I emailed the dive shop and called them and didn’t hear back. I decided to drive it to the shop (1 1/2 hours from my house).
