How badly anyone was hurt

  • No one hurt 1 CPSC: Incident, No Injury

As each report says it, in short words; CPSC’s own words are under each.

The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made May 4, 2013, sent to the company May 13, 2013, published by CPSC May 28, 2013

The product, in the report: This hardly needs dimensions of the dryer they are pretty much standard. Dryer opens in front and has the lint basket in front so it can be emptied after each use.

All the insulation in the dryer has been somehow coming out of the back of the dryer and clogging up the outlet that goes from the dryer connection to the outside of the house. Then a strip of felt around the front inside of the dryer broke and is now hanging down about 6/7 inches. We have been trying to unstop the pipe that goes to the outside of the house, before our house catches on fire.

Had a repair man over and he said the GE Profile I have is a piece of junk and I should buy a new dryer. This is really a very disturbing factor, especially since I bought it in 2006 to match my washer.

I will never buy another GE product ever again. And have been telling all my friends never to buy a GE product.
