The product, in the report: https://a.co/d/02TJwRvA Purewell Gravity-Fed 1.5 Gallon Stainless Steel Countertop Water Filter System with Water Level Gauge Faucet Perfect for Kitchen Use, Camping, and Adventure “The Purewell gravity water filter system adopts a composite filter technology, can reduce most contaminants. The black carbon filter employs a 0.01m hollow fiber UF membrane, a silver ion membrane and an activated carbon block to reduce chlorine and intercept rust, sediment, organic matter and heavy metals, etc. This water filtration system is crafted from food-grade 304 stainless steel, ensuring robust durability and leak-proof performance. Utilizing an upgraded version of the transparent faucet, the red floating indicator clearly displays the water’s volume, allowing for easy visibility without the need to open it.”

I purchased the “Purewell Gravity-Fed 1.5 Gallon Stainless Steel Countertop Water Filter System with Water Level Gauge Faucet” less than a year ago, and since then it has been the main water source for my family. Nothing besides city water has touched it. Upon looking inside last week, I was horrified. The metal nut and maybe bolt that was included to attach the spout (that is in the bottom reservoir where clean drinking water is to be dispensed from) is leaching metal shards into our water we’ve been drinking! I rinsed the shards out, but you can see in my photos how the nut has a metal coating that is just sluffing off, contaminating our water. This is a huge lapse in quality control. We care about clean drinking water, but this item has caused us to drink water that is far more contaminated than before the filtration.
