An 18 YOM was accidentally shot by an air rifle and was severely brain damaged. The rifle was shot one time prior to incident. The rifle failed trigger tests, and was found to have a very light trigger. There is concern that there are many rifles in hands of consumers with a dangerously light trigger pull.
