No one hurt Made Aug 22, 2022, sent to the company Sep 15, 2022, published by CPSC Sep 29, 2022
The product, in the report: Crossbow
The consumer indicates that his crossbow has a faulty locking and lockout mechanism that can go into full cock-mode and can discharge, which could blow up the crossbow and injure the operator. The consumer states that this issue has happened three times in the past two months. The consumer contacted the Manufacturer and explained the situation; the representative he spoke to informed him that the issue is his fault as he is not using the unit correctly. The consumer states that the unit was used once approximately a month during the four months of crossbow hunting season. The consumer is unsure if he will be keeping the crossbow for at least the next thirty days in case an investigation ensues.

Nearly severed thumb while using Ten Point Technologies crossbow. My model was manufactured in 2009 before any thumb and finger protections guards were attached to stock.
Ten Point offers free guards now, but never advertised in hunting magazines or signs in bow shops alerting consumers to this problem.
Had surgery to stabilize thumb.

The product, in the report: Crossbow Model and serial # Warrior HL and serial # L004575
Out practicing with my crossbow and I had my thumb sticking up just a little bit and when I shot my crossbow the string hit my thumb and almost cut my thumb off. There should be a better gaurd on the handle off the crossbow that protects all parts of your hand while shooting.
