The product, in the report: Compound Bow Model Diamond edge 320
I recently purchased a Diamond Edge 320 compound bow on Amazon. On the string of this bow are a series of small metal weights called nocks. They are covered in thin black plastic. I believe they help to dampen the sound of the bow. While making a routine shot, the nocks came off and somehow ricocheted off the body of the bow and back at my head. I felt like I had been shot with powerful pellet gun. I suffered 2 injuries to my head within inches of my left eye. I have headaches and pain near the wounds as well as blurred vision. I am only grateful the nocks did not hit the eye itself. I later noticed a review of this product complaining of the same thing with similar injuries. This is not an isolated incident and these injuries will continue until the company addresses them. The nocks need to be secured properly or they will continue to come loose and fly off the bow causing injuries. My bow was set at low power, at the maximum setting it could cause much greater damage.
